Bio

Fiona Taylor is a writer, interviewer, and podcaster living on Bunurong country in Melbourne’s south-east.

When she isn’t at her laptop writing, she hosts the Reading By Candlelight podcast, interviewing debut and emerging Australian authors, and proudly promoting exciting new voices and their stories.

She is also the producer and co-host of The Word Count, a writing accountability podcast following three Australian writers to publication in real-time, with bestselling author Jo Dixon and internationally awarded podcaster Jacq Ellem.

Fiona is working on her first book, a pop crime thriller that combines her love of fashion, celebrity, and murder mysteries.

Fiona studied Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT, completed the Writing A Novel course through Faber Academy, and studied crime writing with Curtis Brown UK. She received a Highly Commended for her short story Birdsong in the 2019 Writers Victoria Emerging Writers Competition.

Fiona is active on social media and a recognised face at author events and writers’ and readers’ festivals across Australia.
